RTD bus shuttles to replace portion of D Line between Englewood and Littleton•Downtown stations Sunday through Thursday nights for rail maintenance

RTD will make necessary rail repairs beginning Sunday, Oct. 27, to a portion of the Southwest Corridor (D Line) light rail line between Englewood and Littleton·Downtown stations. The work, which will take place overnight Sunday through Thursday nights until further notice, will require some service disruption.

RTD crews will address track maintenance issues in an area of the line that is causing light rail trains to travel at reduced speeds. As repairs are made, areas of speed restrictions will be shortened or removed.

RTD will provide bus shuttles every 30 minutes between Englewood and Littleton·Downtown stations beginning at approximately 9 p.m. Customers can access bus shuttles at the following gates:

• Englewood Station – Gate A
• Oxford·City of Sheridan Station – Board: Windermere Street at Nassau Avenue
• Littleton·Downtown Station – Gate F

Customers can expect the following during the work:

Sunday nights, beginning Oct. 27

• The last complete northbound train from Littleton·Mineral Station to 18th·California Station will depart at 8:33 p.m.
• The last complete southbound train from 18th·Stout Station to Littleton·Mineral Station will depart at 8:48 p.m.
• Bus shuttles will replace train service between Littleton·Downtown and Englewood stations beginning at approximately 9 p.m. for the remainder of the service day
• Trains operating between Littleton·Mineral and Littleton·Downtown stations will operate on the northbound track only

Two early morning trips from Englewood Station to Littleton·Mineral Station will be canceled. Full service from Littleton·Mineral Station will begin as scheduled on Monday morning.

Monday through Thursday nights, beginning Oct. 28

• The last complete northbound train from Littleton·Mineral Station to 18th·California Station will depart at 9:03 p.m.
• The last complete southbound train from 18th·Stout Station to Littleton·Mineral Station will depart at 8:49 p.m.
• Bus shuttles will replace train service between Littleton·Downtown and Englewood stations beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m. for the remainder of the service day
• Trains operating between Littleton·Mineral and Littleton·Downtown stations will operate on the northbound track only

Two early morning trips from Englewood Station to Littleton·Mineral Station will be canceled. Full service from Littleton·Mineral Station will begin as scheduled Tuesday to Friday mornings.
