Old Man Winter won’t take the hint, but that’s not stopping Denver from gearing up for an epic season. Spring in the Mile High City means outdoor festivals kicking off, major sporting events lighting up stadiums and arenas, and a packed concert lineup with big-time artists rocking Denver’s finest music venues.

Shake off the winter blues, grab your sunglasses and sunscreen, and dive into this month’s Rad Things (to) Do across the Denver metro area!

Featured events, festivals and parades

April 3: Harlem Globetrotters 2025 World Tour at Ball Arena

The Harlem Globetrotters visit the home of the 2023 NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets, April 3. The world-famous basketball stuntmen are known for their physics-defying, mind-shattering and jaw-dropping stunts. Catch them April 3 at Ball Arena, accessible via the E and W lines at Ball Arena•Elitch Gardens Station, as well as Routes 1, 15L and 20 at Auraria Parkway and 9th Street. Families can save money on their trips as children 19 and younger can ride RTD services at no cost.

April 3-6: Denver Jazz Festival across the metro

To quote Barry B. Benson from the hit movie, Bee Movie, “Ya like jazz?” If so, Denver is the place to be. April 3-6, the Denver Jazz Festival kicks off for the first time ever. All across the metro, jazz lovers can enjoy performances from local and national jazz artists, as well as partake in educational opportunities and learn how to get involved with the local jazz scene. Many venues can be accessed by RTD services, including:

April 4: Colorado Rockies Home Opener at Coors Field

The Blake Street Bombers take to the diamond at Coors Field for the first time in 2025. After several lackluster seasons in a row, the Rockies are hoping to turn it around this year and make a push for their first postseason appearance since 2018. It is a day of hope, optimism and crushing as many hot dogs as humanly possible. Head down to LoDo April 4 and cheer on the Rockies by catching any Union Station-bound bus or train. Need a hand? RTD staff will be onsite to provide assistance. Swing by McGregor Square and visit the RTD booth to learn more about how to get to and from the games all season.

April 5: Denver Ramen Festival at Stockyards Event Center

Tonkotsu, Shoyu, Miso, Kitakata, Sapporo, Shio, Kagoshima – these are just some of the types of ramen noodleheads can enjoy at the Denver Ramen Festival! On April 5, hop on the N Line and head over to the Stockyards Event Center to enjoy an afternoon of Japanese-inspired entertainment, beverages and as much ramen as one could possibly enjoy.

April 5-6: The Rocky Mountain Train Show at the National Western Complex

Choo choo! All aboard the N Line to the Rocky Mountain Train Show! April 5-6, the National Western Complex becomes a model train paradise. Attendees can view incredible model trains, detailed landscapes and learn all about the rich history of trains in Colorado.

April 17-20: Colorado Auto Show at the Colorado Convention Center

Colorado’s largest car show returns to the Colorado Convention Center! For four days, car enthusiasts can check out the latest models of cars, trucks, SUVs, hybrids and crossovers from both domestic and international manufacturers. Not only that, but attendees will get a sneak peek at the future of the automotive industry, with manufacturers bringing their futuristic concept cars, special editions and customized rides. Catch the D and H lines to Theatre District·Convention Center Station to enjoy the latest and greatest in the automotive world.

April 26: Monster Jam at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium

Carnage, chaos and destruction arrive at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium on April 26 with the return of Monster Jam. Head to Empower Field via the E and W lines to witness 12-ton trucks flipping, spinning, jumping and crushing cars as their pilots compete for a shot at the Monster Jam World Championship. Featuring appearances by legends such as Zombie, Grave Digger, Sparkle Smash, Megalodon and Digatron, this stop on the Monster Jam circuit will leave everyone speechless.

Only four shows populate the calendar this month at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, but it’s all about quality over quantity. Headlining this month is the Tony Award-winning Best Musical The Wiz, which is on tour for the first time in 40 years! Music lovers in the 303 have had plenty to enjoy this year, and April is proving to be no exception. Denver’s concert calendar is stacked with an eclectic mix of artists, bringing something for just about everyone.

Topping off this month’s calendar is the inaugural Denver Jazz Fest, pop superstar Kylie Minogue, hard rock legends Papa Roach and two of the metal scene’s finest bands, Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium, putting on one unforgettable show.

The Used have been one of the most prolific names in the emo scene for over 25 years, topping charts and having their music featured in virtually every entertainment medium there is. To celebrate their career, they'll be doing a three-night stint at the Ogden April 29-May 1.
