RTD will provide temporary bus shuttle service March 1 for D, E and H lines between I-25•Broadway and Colfax at Auraria stations

RTD will perform overhead wire maintenance that will temporarily affect light rail service for D, E and H lines Saturday, March 1, between I-25•Broadway Station and downtown Denver. The work will take place from start of service to 2:30 p.m.

Crews will de-energize a portion of the Central Corridor light rail line to replace overhead wire on the flyover bridge south of I-25•Broadway Station. Light rail service on all three lines will resume upon completion of the work. Work is weather-dependent.

  • D, E and H lines will not operate north of I-25•Broadway Station between start of service and 2:30 p.m. on March 1. The lines will operate on normal schedules south of I-25•Broadway Station.
  • Bus shuttle service will be available to provide connections between I-25•Broadway and Colfax at Auraria stations. Denver Union Station will not be served by bus shuttles during the maintenance window.
  • The L Line will operate on a special schedule and provide additional connections between the Colfax at Auraria and Theatre District•Convention Center stations and RTD’s Downtown Loop.
  • Bus Route 0 provides connections between I-25•Broadway Station and Civic Center Station in downtown Denver.
  • The Free MallRide will maintain its regular service between Union Station and Civic Center Station, providing additional connections through Denver’s Central Business District.

Boarding for bus shuttles will take place at the following gates:

  • I-25•Broadway Station – Gate A2
  • Alameda Station – Gate A
  • 10th•Osage Station – Gate marked “Bus Bridge”
  • Colfax at Auraria Station – Next to the rail station on West Colfax Avenue

Customers whose trips are impacted by the temporary rail disruption are encouraged to plan for extra timeand use RTD’s Next Ride app to plan a trip using alternate bus routes. Customers are also encouraged to sign up for Service Alerts.
