RTD to suspend N Line service for four hours on June 29 between 48th•Brighton and Commerce City•72nd stations during drill exercise

RTD will conduct a joint emergency exercise with local emergency services on the N Line Saturday, June 29, beginning at 6 a.m.

There will be no rail service between 48th•Brighton and Commerce City•72nd stations for approximately four hours during the drill exercise. N Line trains will operate every 60 minutes between Union Station and 48th•Brighton Station. Customers are encouraged to use Bus Route 48 as an alternative service.

Trains will operate on a 30-minute frequency from Commerce City•72nd Station to Eastlake•124th Station. Rail service from Denver Union Station to Eastlake•124th Station will resume following completion of the drill exercise.

Bus shuttles will support N Line service at the following locations during the drill exercise:

48th & Brighton•National Western Center Station, track side of Brighton Boulevard, across from the post office

Commerce City•72nd, Gate D

Customers are encouraged to sign up for Service Alerts for specific route information. Check the RTD website or Next Ride app for trip planning assistance.

Area residents and businesses may see a large presence of emergency vehicles near the Skyway Bridge during the drill exercise. The emergency preparedness drill is conducted annually to ensure the safety of RTD’s customers and the public. The exercise provides rail operations personnel, local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders with an opportunity to review emergency protocols and demonstrate successful response procedures.
