RTD to provide bus shuttle service Dec. 10-12 between Southmoor and Florida stations during H and R line maintenance
RTD will perform necessary maintenance that will impact light rail service on the H and R lines between Southmoor and Florida stations Tuesday, Dec. 10, through Thursday, Dec. 12.
During the three-day period, crews will conduct maintenance work, including rail grinding, to mitigate issues causing slow zones on the H and R lines along the I-225 corridor. Full service on the H and R lines will resume on Friday, Dec. 13.
H and R line trains will not operate on their regular routes while maintenance is taking place. H Line service will operate as normal north of Southmoor Station. Bus shuttles will replace H and R line trains between Southmoor and Florida stations.
R Line service will operate as normal between Peoria and Florida stations. No R Line trains will operate between Florida and Lincoln stations. R Line customers traveling south will need to take a bus shuttle from Florida Station to Southmoor Station. At Southmoor Station connections can be made to the E line north to Union Station or south to RidgeGate Parkway Station.
Boarding for bus shuttles will take place at the following gates:
- Southmoor Station – Gate A
- Dayton Station – Bus bridge sign in bus loop
- Nine Mile Station – Gate F
- Iliff Station – Gate A
- Florida Station – South side of E Florida Ave at S. Abilene St.
Customers whose trips are impacted by the temporary rail disruption are encouraged to use RTD’s Next Ride web app to plan a trip using alternate bus routes and to see bus and train locations in real time. Customers are also encouraged to sign up for Service Alerts for specific route information.
