RTD’s Route 43 and Free MetroRide will provide connections to the Five Points Jazz Festival on June 8

RTD Staff

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) has multiple options for customers traveling between downtown Denver and the Welton Street corridor to attend the Five Points Jazz Festival on Saturday, June 8.

While the L Line is typically suspended between downtown and 30th•Downing Station during the annual festival, this year, the L Line suspension is due to the currently underway Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project. The L Line suspension will continue through mid-September as part of RTD’s May Service Changes.

RTD customers are encouraged to explore Bus Route 43 as an option to reach the festival and connect to destinations in Five Points. In addition, RTD has temporarily reinstated the Free MetroRide service, which operates every ten minutes along 18th and 19th Streets between Union Station and Civic Center Station.

Customers are encouraged to sign up for Service Alerts for specific route information. Check the RTD website before traveling for schedules and to plan a trip.

An estimated 80,000-100,000 people are expected to gather along Welton Street for the Jazz Festival, an annual celebration of the history of Denver’s Five Points neighborhood.
