A and G Lines sounding train horns at crossings as crews assess Positive Train Control hardware and software issues
Tara Broghammer
RTD’s Concessionaire/O&M Operator, Denver Transit Operators (DTO), is experiencing hardware and software issues on the commuter rail system that have resulted in the need to sound train horns on the A and G commuter rail lines.
As crews work to identify and resolve the cause of the Positive Train Control trouble, please remember to obey traffic signs and safety measures in place.
At this time, there is no estimated time for resolution of the issues. Commuter Rail service is not impacted. As soon as work to resolve these issues is complete, trains will resume quiet crossings, using horns only when necessary for safety.
RTD recognizes this can be disruptive and apologizes for the sound caused by train horns because of these issues.
