RTD website, Next Ride app now available in Korean
DENVER (Dec. 2, 2024) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD)’s website and Next Ride trip planning tool are now available in Korean to increase customer access and trip information. Prior to today's Korean language announcement, RTD's online resources were already available in English, Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, and Simplified Chinese.
Customers can easily select languages other than English by clicking the “translate page” option in the upper right of the RTD website and selecting the preferred language from the dropdown menu. RTD made the latest round of updates to increase access, especially for customers who may be unfamiliar with RTD's services.
Search by concert event names
RTD has also rolled out a trip planning tool to support customers attending concerts in the Denver metro area. Customers can now plan trips by using a concert name as the destination in the Next Ride app. RTD partnered with JamBase, an online supplier of live music data, to provide the additional resource for customers. Customers can simply enter the artist or band's name in the “Plan a Trip” tool to see all transit options available to reach the concert.
Customers can plan their trip based on a desired departure time, whether it be immediate or in the future, or a specific arrival time. The option also includes planning trips to sporting events by entering “Nuggets”, “Denver Broncos” or “Avalanche” or the name of the arena or stadium. The trip planning resource also provides options for customers to purchase fare.
RTD's trip planning concert update displays information for events being held at Ball Arena, Bluebird Theater, Boulder Theater, Coors Field, Denver Botanic Gardens, Empower Field, Fiddler's Green, Fillmore Auditorium, Folsom Field, Fox Theatre, Mission Ballroom, Ogden Theatre, and Paramount Theatre. The online tool shares trip itineraries to a venue from the customer’s starting point.
Customers are also encouraged to sign up for Service Alerts.
RTD has steadily updated its website and Next Ride app throughout 2024 to make it more accessible and inclusive for customers. Additional languages will be added in the future, based on the needs of customers and community in the Denver metro area.
