RTD to provide bus shuttle service Jan. 12-14 between I-25•Broadway and Colfax at Auraria stations during D, E and H line maintenance windows
RTD will perform preventative track maintenance between I-25•Broadway Station and downtown Denver on Sunday, Jan. 12, through Tuesday, Jan. 14.Daily maintenance windows will temporarily impact light rail service on the D, E and H lines.
During the three-day period, crews will work to mitigate railhead surface defects by conducting rail grinding along the corridor north of I-25•Broadway Station. Light rail service on all three lines will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
D, E and H line trains will not operate on their regular routes between 4 a.m. and noon each day of the three-day period. However, trains will resume normal schedules and operations outside the daily maintenance hours.
- D, E and H lines will not operate north ofI-25•Broadway Station between 4 a.m. and noon on Jan. 12, 13 and 14.
- Bus shuttle service will be available to provide connections between I-25•Broadway and Colfax at Auraria stations. Denver Union Station will not be serviced by bus shuttles during the daily maintenance windows.
- The L Line will operate on a special schedule and provide additional connections between the Colfax at Auraria and Theatre District•Convention Center stations and RTD’s Downtown Loop.
- The Free MallRide will maintain its regular service between Union Station and Civic Center Station, providing additional connections through Denver’s central business district.
- Bus Routes 0 and 0L provide connections between I-25•Broadway Station and downtown Denver.
Boarding for bus shuttles will take place at the following gates:
- I-25•Broadway Station –Gate A2
- Alameda Station – Gate A
- 10th•Osage Station – Gate marked “Bus Bridge”
- Colfax at Auraria Station –Next to the rail station on West Colfax Ave.
Customers whose trips are impacted by the temporary rail disruption are encouraged to use RTD’s Next Ride app to plan a trip using alternate bus routes. Customers are also encouraged to sign up for Service Alerts regarding specific route information.
