RTD thanks you and wishes you a safe, healthy, Happy Thanksgiving

This year has been like no other, with 2020 being less than kind to most. Yet, even in our nation’s darkest hour, it’s the PEOPLE who have been the light to keep us all moving forward.

RTD operators reported to work every day despite the threat of COVID-19, driving essential workers and the transit dependent.

Mechanics worked safely amongst each other, making sure the buses were safe to be on the streets.

Service and Cleaning employees quickly adapted to a new way to work, cleaning and disinfecting vehicles daily.

Dozens of volunteers and RTD employees made masks and donated them to RTD for employees and customers.

Body Shop employees worked countless hours fabricating and installing barriers to protect RTD operators and customers.

Customer Care operators reported to work helping people navigate our system and answer questions.

And, our valued customers kept riding, keeping our system going, while following rules of wearing masks and social distancing.

As John F. Kennedy said, “We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.”

This and every Thanksgiving, RTD thanks all of the people -- its employees and its customers -- for keeping our region moving, despite living through and adapting in an unprecedented and challenging time in all of our lives. We thank you for your strength, courage and dedication.
