RTD panel repair advances to Southmoor and Colorado stations Aug. 1
RTD continues to make progress on scheduled maintenance along sections of rail south of I-25•Broadway Station in Denver, impacting service on the E, H and R lines.
The extended project includes maintenance and repairs to the caps on top of the retaining walls, called coping panels, that run along the Southeast Rail Line south of Broadway to Lincoln Station next to I-25.
The coping panel project is segmented into nine blocks of work. Crews began in April at Lincoln Station, with the work progressing north toward I-25•Broadway Station. Similar work will occur again down the south side of the rail alignment in 2024.
On Tuesday, Aug. 1, the maintenance and repairs will progress to the segment between the Southmoor and Colorado stations.
The resulting impacts to the E, H and R line schedules as of Aug. 1 are as follows:
E Line – Continued 30-minute frequency between Union and RidgeGate Parkway stations
H Line –Continued 30-minute frequency between Florida and 18th•California stations
R Line – Service restored between Peoria Station and Lincoln Station
Impacts to service have been incorporated into the regular service schedules for the affected lines to optimize schedule consistency while the project progresses.
