RTD light rail service disrupted near Dry Creek Station
Service on RTD's E Line is temporarily disrupted due to a minor mechanical malfunction with a track switch south of Dry Creek Station in Centennial.
At approximately 8 a.m. today, the front wheels of an E Line train experienced an incident when a switch at the track crossover malfunctioned. At the time of incident, 60 customers and an operator were on board the train, and no injuries were reported.
A bus shuttle is currently in place while crews work to return service to the area. E Line trains will be running between Union and Southmoor stations, and Lincoln to RidgeGate Parkway stations, with bus shuttles between Lincoln and Southmoor stations. Rail service is expected to be restored to the area later today. Dry Creek Station will remain closed to the public until service resumes.
Customers using RTD to travel to the home opener of the Rockies this afternoon are encouraged to park at any of the Park-n-Rides north of Southmoor Station. Customers should also be advised that ongoing scheduled maintenance along the corridor is impacting service on the R Line south of Florida Station.
RTD thanks its customers for their patience as the agency works to restore light rail service to the area. Customers are encouraged to sign up for Service Alerts to receive updates on any changes to service.
