RTD customers should plan for delays this evening and into tomorrow as snow continues
Customers should plan ahead, check RTD channels for latest information
DENVER (Nov. 8, 2024) – The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is currently experiencing slight delays but may see increased delays as the storm accelerates. Customers should expect slower travel times as train and bus operators continue to navigate adverse conditions from the snowstorm and focus on safety.
Through behind-the-scenes measures and by design, RTD keeps light rail and commuter rail services running despite winter’s offerings of snow and freezing temperatures.
RTD’s ultimate goal is to deliver everyone safely to their destinations, and travel on snowy days sometimes takes a little longer. Bus schedules can be affected by the same road conditions the public encounters while driving their own vehicles, including wet, icy and slushy roads and traffic delays. Rail vehicles can be delayed because of the need for slower speeds around train stations and through crossings. Access-a-Ride customers should expect delays and consider rescheduling non-essential trips.

RTD customers should plan ahead, stay informed and prepare to be outside by dressing appropriately for extreme temperatures.Customers should use caution as slick conditions could affect sidewalks and RTD stations and stops. Also use caution when boarding vehicles as wet bus and train steps and aisles can become slippery.
