RTD celebrates Hispanic-Latine Heritage Month

Camila Lacerda

National Hispanic-Latine Heritage Month, observed from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, highlights the historical and cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latine communities, celebrating their vital role in this ongoing narrative.

Today, Latinos represent 20 percent of the U.S. population, and RTD is proudly supported by a diverse team made up of individuals from various backgrounds and histories across the globe. RTD comprises people who move people. RTD employees Dora Sanchez, Frank Acosta, Cristobal Flores-Ramirez, Norma Escobar, Vivian Morales and Ignacio Correa-Ortiz, and so many others contribute to the agency’s mission and values every day by operating buses and trains, keeping the city moving, communicating with customers, and planning new features as the language assistance services to include and connect all the communities that make RTD diverse and vibrant. This commitment is what makes it possible to make lives better through connections.
