RTD boundaries to change as part of redistricting process

Series of public meetings are scheduled to present two map alternatives

RTD will be changing the boundaries of its 15 districts as part of a required redistricting process. Two alternative maps have been drafted and will be presented at public meetings for review and input before adoption by the Board of Directors.

RTD is governed by a 15-member, publicly elected Board of Directors, each serving a maximum of two four-year term and represent ing one of these district s. State statute requires RTD to redraw the individual director district boundaries following the completion of the decennial census to ensure each director d istrict has a similar population. The Board of Directors must approve the new map by March 15, 2022.

The map alternatives, comment form and list of public meetings can be found on the RTD Redistricting page. People can learn about the process and provide input at the following meetings
