RTD August service changes take effect Sunday
Starting on Sunday, Aug. 21, RTD is implementing it's August service changes. Schedules are adjusted three times a year to address ridership changes, activities such as traffic patterns, economic factors and customer feedback that affect the RTD system. Some of the changes support increases in ridership, improve on-time performance and increase service reliability. For a complete look at the changes RTD is making, visit the Service Changes page of the website.
Routes Affected
3, 8, 11, 20, 24, 30, 42, 45, 49, 51, 52, 65, 66, 73, 88, 88L, 133, 169, 204, 206, 208, 225, 228, DASH, JUMP, SKIP, BOLT, LD , NB, Green Mountain FlexRide
In addition to the changes mentioned above, RTD will consolidate stop locations for Route EV, Evergreen/Denver. Given issues that include low ridership numbers at the El Rancho Park-n-Ride, the stop will be decommissioned as of Aug. 21. Customers will be encouraged to use RTD Park-n-Ride locations at Bergen Park or Genesee Park.
Fares are suspended through Aug. 31 for the Zero Fare for Better Air initiative and will resume Sept. 1. Once fares resume, RTD will have transitioned to a new account-based ticketing system. Customers will need to transfer their current MyRide card accounts via the online transition tool on the RTD website or by visiting any RTD Sales Outlet.
