Monday test trains begin running on Welton Street tracks to test new safety improvements

Light rail trains will begin testing on Monday, Sept. 16 for approximately one week along a portion of the L Line between 20th•Welton and 30th•Downing stations. Test trains will operate daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., to ensure newly installed safety improvements for the double-track section of Welton function as intended ahead of the return of L Line light rail service to the corridor on Sept. 29. RTD is ready for first Broncos home game of the season

RTD is prepared to support an increase in ridership during the Broncos season home opener on Sept. 15 at Empower Field at Mile High.
