Honoring 60 years of Civil Rights progress

In July, RTD celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The law was a turning point in American history, legally ending discrimination and promoting equality for all citizens. Its profound impact extends across employment opportunities and public facilities, including schools and restaurants as well as equity in accessing public transportation, ensuring that all individuals have access to the opportunities it provides.

On July 20, RTD and partners will celebrate the Civil Rights Act's 60th anniversary with a special event and unveiling of a new artistic bus wrap. Full story.
