What is BRT?

BRT is a proven bus-based transit system that delivers fast, comfortable and reliable service along a designated corridor. The system has limited stops to improve speed, reduce travel time and maximize ridership.

  • BRT service has been proven nationally to provide riders with a convenient, frequent, and reliable travel option as an attractive alternative to an automobile.
  • The study advances one of the recommendations from the 2013 Northwest Area Mobility Study for a cost-effective enhanced transit investment along SH 119.
