
RTD to support Independence Day events with additional capacity on light rail service to downtown
DENVER (July 2, 2025) –– To support Independence Day events in downtown Denver this weekend, the Regional Transportation District (RTD) will add extra train cars to D, E, H, W, and L light rail lines from Friday through Sunday. RTD bus and rail services will operate on Sunday/holiday schedule on Independence Day. Customers are encouraged to use the agency's resources to plan trips ahead of time.
- Indy Eve drone show at Civic Center Thursday, 9:15 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.)
- Fireworks displays at Coors Field following Friday and Saturday Rockies baseball games (games start at 6:10 p.m. on Friday and 7:10 p.m. on Saturday)
- Saturday's fireworks at Elitch Gardens
- FAN EXPO Denver at the Colorado Convention Center, Thursday - Sunday
