Rad Things (to) Do - March 2024

Austin Nettleton

March “Rad”ness is underway in the 303. This month is absolutely stacked with Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche action at Ball Arena, the famous Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and concerts almost nightly across the area’s great music venues, all headlined by a back-to-back one-two punch of performances by Madonna and Bad Bunny. Check out what’s happening around Denver in this edition of Rad Things (to) Do! Ride RTD to these events and leave traffic and parking worries behind!

Festivals, parades and events

Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Rockies returns to downtown Denver March 16! The route takes dozens of floats and hundreds of participants, including RTD, down Wynkoop from Coors Field, up 17th Street, then onto Blake Street to wrap up just past the ballpark. Don’t miss out on the fun! Catch any Union Station-bound bus or train and find a spot along the route to celebrate all that is Irish.

Denver March Powwow

March 15-17, head to the Denver Coliseum via the Route 48 at Brighton Boulevard and 43rd Street and celebrate Native American heritage and culture. The event features more than 1,600 dancers representing almost 100 tribes from 38 states and three Canadian provinces. Learn more at http://www.denvermarchpowwow.org.

Sports

While college sports may be winding down, the heat is just starting to turn up for Denver’s pro sports teams. The Nuggets and Avalanche find themselves in the fight for the top seeds in their respective sports as the playoffs inch closer.
