Alameda Station Project
The City of Denver adopted the Alameda Station Area Plan in 2009. The plan encouraged rebuilding the original street grid system throughout the area to foster better connections between the station and the surrounding neighborhood. Owners of the Broadway Marketplace shopping center and the Denver Design District worked with the City to develop a general development plan for the area and design criteria for future buildings and infrastructure.
In 2010, RTD named Alameda Station one of four TOD pilot projects. In 2015, the Denizen development, also referred to as Alameda Station Village or the Alameda Station Pilot Project, was completed by developer D4 Urban.

Located on the edges of the Baker and Washington Park neighborhoods, a transit-oriented development project known as Denizen was built on a former Park-n-Ride lot and bus turnaround at Alameda Station.
The development includes 275 apartment units, a new transit plaza, retail and a reconnected street grid between Dakota and Cherokee streets that enhance multimodal connections and station access. C, D, E, F, and H light rail trains stop at the station, as do 6 bus lines (3, 4, 14, 33A, 33B, and 52).
